Asthma Treatment From China

by Ellen Mathers

Are you sneezing again? Do you suffer from allergies and asthma? That irksome runny nose, watery eyes and scratch in your throat can get awfully redundant and tiresome. I used to have allergies as a child. Every time I would step into our barn to feed the chickens, sheep and goats, I’d start sneezing. This was horrible. My wife now has allergies that she just can’t shake. She walks around with Kleenex in hand in a drug induced daze. She just can’t seem to shake them. Lucky for her I found a cure.

I grew up in rural America on a farm. My allergies were horrible. They just seemed to diminish as I grew older. I was impressed that I did not have to deal with sneezing and coughing I couldn’t see straight. I felt as if I was free at last. My wife isn’t as fortunate as me.

What would you do to obtain a “cure”? What would you do to get rid of this constant seasonal irritant? My wife still has to medicate each new season with a plethora of over the counter drugs. She will seek allergy relief anywhere. This can’t be a good thing. She would do almost anything to get do away with the constant headache, no pun intended, of allergies. She has tried many off the wall cures and some of them work so-so.

I was pretty excited after speaking with a stranger I had met while using my wife’s gift. I had just happened to be getting a massage, which was a gift from my wife for our anniversary, and the massage therapist let me in on her little secret. She has acupuncture done and told me all about how it provided immediately relief for her asthma and allergies.

My masseuse will attest to the usefulness for her allergies and then my wife tried it too. She came away feeling immediate relief. An Asian cure for an age old problem. Hat’s off to acupuncture.

The lady and my therapist too told me that life was given back to them after allergy treatment. They can now visit outdoor parks and track meets.

Acupuncture is an Asian medicinal practice thought to have originated in China around 300 BC. It that utilizes small thin needles inserted into key centers of your body. An acupuncturist studies for many years. There are twelve primary meridians or channels.

Some call this alternative medicine but in Asia it is common practice and not considered alternative at all. Since my wife and I are both fans we can recommend that you give it a try. Who knows! Maybe it is just what the doctor ordered for your allergy relief.

Treatment Options For Gout

by Astra Yadira

There are plenty of gout medications on the market that work best depending on the stage and severity of your gout condition. Here is a list of all the different medicinal gout treatments available:

1. Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) - This is drugs like Indomethacin and is usually the type that your doctor first prescribes when you get diagnosed. It helps to ease inflammation and pain that is associated with gout.

2. Colchicine - This medicine was created to help prevent future attacks and to help relieve certain gout symptoms. You can take this medication a couple of different ways.

It can be prescribed for longer periods of time with smaller dosages, or for shorter periods of time with larger dosages. This type of medication works best when you are implementing a dietary treatment for gout.

3. Corticosteroids - This medication is usually reserved for those who, for some reason, cannot take NSAIDs or colchicines.

Prednisone is one of these common adrenocorticotropic hormones. This treatment is given through injections into the muscle tissue.

4. Allupurinol - This popular medication is used to lower uric acid levels. This is done by helping the systems in the body that maintain proper uric acid levels. This drug is used more for prevention instead of treating gout symptoms.

5. Probenecid - Usually referred to as Probalan or Benemid, this type of medication is usually prescribed for chronic gout sufferers. It works by helping the kidneys eliminate more uric acid.

6. Colbenemid - This medicine is created by fusing Colchicine and Probenecid together as one. That way you get a medication that both prevents future attacks and treats the gout symptoms directly.

7. Sulfinpyrazone - This drug helps your body maintain healthy uric acid levels and prevents gouty arthritis. It is commonly known as Anturane.

8. Losartan - This is actually a hypertension medication, but it can also be used to help lower uric acid levels in the body. The most common names for it are Hyzzar and Cozzar.

9. Analgesics - These are pain and fever reducers and work well when your gout attacks leave you in a lot of pain.

If you are looking for a treatment for gout, it is best that you examine your dietary habits and talk with your medical practitioner about medication treatments.

By maintaining control of your dietary lifestyle and taking your medication as prescribed you are very likely to prevent future attacks.
