Although there is no actual cure for the various forms of Diabetes that people now suffer from. Today there are both conventional and alternative diabetes control natural treatments that people can use. Certainly, studies in the USA have quite clearly shown that control of diabetics blood sugar levels can help to reduce the chances of complications occurring by as much as 60%.

In this article, however we provide some of natural treatments, which can help with controlling the condition. In addition, using only natural products rather than those, which are made through scientific methods, are less likely to cause unwanted side effects to the person. In fact, some of the chemicals used to help control diabetes can cause further health complications including skin allergies, dizziness and tiredness.

Also, another reason why so many people prefer to use natural treatments over more conventional drug treatments is that they have proved to be much safer. Whilst the final reason for choosing natural treatments is that they are a lot cheaper to buy than drugs and they are also more readily available as well. Below we take a look at what some of the natural treatments for controlling diabetes are and which you may want to think about trying if you suffer from this condition.

1. Pterocarpus Marsupium or Indian Kino contains a gum resin, which looks similar to dried blood and why it is more commonly referred to as Dragon’s Blood. This has been used for many centuries now in Indian medicine and especially for treating diabetes.

2. Momordica Charantia (Bitter Melon) or Balsam Pear as some people called it and can be found in Asia, Africa and South America. Just like the Indian Kino, this herb has been used for centuries and is effective at treating diabetes. It is the fresh juice and the extract taken from the unripened fruit that has been found to be effective at controlling a diabetic’s blood sugar.

3. Gurmar (Gymnema Sylvestre) is an herb, which helps the pancreas in the body to produce insulin, which those who suffer from Type 2 diabetes are unable to do. But along with this herb doing this it also contains properties that can help to also control and lower blood sugar in those suffering from Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.

4. Onion and Garlic, which are both readily available not just through your health food, store but at your local grocery store as well. These are particular effective at helping to control any form of diabetes as they again contain properties, which can help to lower blood sugar levels.

But along with the above-mentioned diabetes control, natural treatments there are plenty of others that are readily available and which are just as suitable. For example, you may want to try Bilberry, Cinnamon, Stevia, Fenugreek, Blueberry leaves as well. But if you do it is important that you discuss the matter with your doctor first.
